Who Will Win The Premier League 2009-10?

topfootballers Posted by topfootballers at 07:37 AM on August 11, 2009 Comments comments (0)
  1. Chelsea
  2. Man Utd
  3. Liverpool
  4. Man City
  5. Tottenham
  6. Arsenal
  7. Everton
  8. Fulham
  9. Aston Villa
  10. West Ham
  11. Portsmouth
  12. Sunderland
  13. Blacburn
  14. Wolves
  15. Hull City
  16. Stoke City
  17. Birmingham
  18. Wigan
  19. Burnley
  20. Bolton

Top 8

Chelsea wins , they have a strong squad and a squad which is well played together.

Man U will struggle to follow Chelsea and has to compete with Liverpool to become Nr.2

Man City has many good players, but will struggle to adapt the team in the beginning of the season as they have bought many players during the summmer.

Tottenham has strenghtened their squad and Pavlochenko has impressed during the pre-season which means they have 4 good strikers in Keane/Defoe/Crouch/Pavlochenko.

Arsenal will struggle this season having lost Adebayor and Kolo Toure who has been solid rock in the Arsenal defence.

Everton has the same team as last year and without loosing Lescott their wil compete at top 8.

Fulham impressed last year and hasnt lost any players yet. If Hangeland goes they need a new solid defender or they will drop below top 8.

MIddle 7

Aston Villa,West Ham,Portsmouth Sunderland, Blacburn, Wolves, Hull City will all drop the relegation battle and its difficult to say how high they will make it. Aston Villa will take th place, With Carew and Heskey bagging goals for the.

Last 5

Stoke City and Birmingham will at the end lie above Wigan Burnley and Bolton with few points seperating them.

Wigan looked very up and down last season and with Martinez as manager youlll never know. Maybe they will suprice and beat Birmingham or Stoke for the drop.Burnley havent strengthen as much as needed and will have to be back in the championship next season. Bolton will have to change their play or they will go down. The signing of Ricketts and Knight may have been vital as they are good defenders. Maybe Bolton can surprise. Megson have a style of play he just need to adapt that.

What on Earth are Fc Barcelona thinking???

topfootballers Posted by topfootballers at 05:37 PM on July 20, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 27 Inter Milan = Alexander Hleb(loan) + Samuel Etoo 28( top scorer) + 45 million euros.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 27 years old

1999?2001 Malmö  40(16)

2001?2004 Ajax  74(35)

2004?2006Juventus  70(23)

2006?Internazionale  88(57)

Samuel Etoo 28 years old

1997?2000Real Madrid   3(0)

1997?1998? Leganés (loan)   28(3)

1999? Espanyol (loan) 0(0)

2000? Mallorca (loan) 13 (6)

2000?2004Mallorca 120 (48)

2004?FC Barcelona 145 (108)

Points to think about:

  • Etoo is only one year older than Zlatan and is a much faster player than Zlatan
  • Etoo has higher goal rate than Zlatan
  • Etoo has played In Primiera Divisione fir 12 years, Zlatan has never, and it may be a difficult league.
  • Etoo is a notoric goal scorer, Zlatan is more selfish player, and not so much a team player like Etoo. Partnership with Messi is vital.
  • Man City offered Barcelona 30 million pund + 45 million Euros which is offered in extra to Inter= 65 million pund. that is the dubble of Zidane.

If i were the manager of Barcelona i would never had done this deal if it werent for Etoo being unsatisfied or do want to leave.

Any thoughts?

Premier league shock of the year 2009 .???? Michael Owen to Man Utd

topfootballers Posted by topfootballers at 03:43 PM on July 03, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Then the shock of the year has become a finalized move. The earlier Liverpool/Newcastle and Real Madrid player Michael Owen is signed on a two year contract. Who would have thought so for some months ago. A player which seems to fall in quality but still continues to score goals is suddenly bought by a top club in Manchester United.

Has it become a trend these days that former rival players are going to sign for their rival. Owen to Utd, Tevez to City or Liverpool and so on ???? I think beside Owen who maybe can become a good buy, that nowadays it doesnt matter were players play any more. Its no problem to play for your rival if he pays you more. Maybe this will continue and transfers like Gerrard to United, Rooney to Liverpool, Carragher to Chelsea and Frank Lampard moving to Liverpool...Doesnt club pride matter anymore??????

Norways National Team

topfootballers Posted by topfootballers at 05:28 PM on June 10, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Once again we see our team being crushed to pieces in the WC qualifying. We play with no confidence and acts like a team without a plan, and a plan is not to shoot the ball far up to Carew who can pick it down for the opposition defenders. We lack pace, hardworkers, aand technique. Noone being dangerous at free kicks, noone to be creative, and what we really lack is the man or men to help Carew. The reason why Carew is good in AVilla. is that he has the fast players to take his headings through and when he scores it is because the wingers have come through and placed perfect passings. We lack thoose players in Norway. Someone to outrun a defence and then place a perfectly hit through ball to our striker. WHy wasnt T.Olsen in the last troop. He has the pace and speed,  maybe not as good in front of goal but he is a constant feer if he becomes in that shape he was in at Bodø Glimt.

Proposition for the new National squad for 2011 EC :

GK:Jon Knudsen: only keeper who has impressed me.

RB:Mounir Hamoud

CD:Brede Hangeland

CD: Per Werner Rønning, been impressive and is young.

LB:J:Riise

CM:Christian Grindheim

CM:Henning Hauger

CM: Per Ciljan Skjeldbred

RW:Espen Hoff or Kim Holmen

LW:Trond Olsen

ST:John Carew

Subs

GK: Håkon Opdal : good second choice

GK: Espen Bugge Pettersen: far better keeper than Jarstein.

RB/LB/CD:Jon Inge Høyland

RB/LB/CD: Wæhler

CM: Tettey

CM: D.Braaten

ST:E.Huseklepp

ST: S:Iversen

What to do in Hull and Tottenham after this season???

topfootballers Posted by topfootballers at 11:51 AM on May 27, 2009 Comments comments (0)

What than needs to be done with both Hull and Tottenham for the next season????I really belive i have some answears.....

Tottenham Hotspurs

GK : Gomez and Cudicini are both tremendous goalies and just needs confidence. Cudicini is my favourite for the 1.st place.

LB:Bale is not good enough. He has much more quality on the left midfield and we really need a new left back. Ekotto has done a superb job but has said he want to go back to France. We need at least two left backs, maybe one who can operate at left midfield as well.

2xCD:King is  superb,Woodgate is ok and Dawson does a superb job. The only thing we need is stability. King should be fit for playing more games or this will break up the bound cental defenders make through gameplaying.

RB.Hutton is good enough but needs confidence in himself. We also have corluka and where did ROCHA  go???? Corluka has to me been  a bit disappointing. He is good defensively but struggles in attack. i hope we turn to Newcastle and buys RyanTaylor, i really fancy him as afootball player.

RM: Aaron Lennon is superb. nothing more to say.Bentley a good reserve palyer but not good enough for the team.

CM:Jenas seem to become better but i really feel he doesnt do well enough.I heard a romour of Juninho being a freetransfer and he would suit us perfectly.

CM:Zokora very good defencely, but not atall the creativeperson.    i really hope we can have him as a defensive midfield and a player like Juninho or Jenas in top form in front of him as they can create something brilliant. It is the midfield who needs to be strengthened but with whom is difficult to say. Maybe Huddlestone can make it to the first 11, he and Palacios.

LM: Luka Modric should be the first choice here. We have a good stand-in in O`hara.

STRIKERS:.Defoe,Keane, Pavluchenko, Bent are four very good strikers one of them has to be sold before the next season. They wont settle for the bench and we have to go for three of them to use.I hope i dont see any strikers coming to the lane before someone else are sold.

My ideal team with thoose who currently are there: Cudicini, Ekotto,King,Dawson,Hutton,Aaron Lennon, Huddlesstone Palacios, Modric, Keane,Bent.....Subs: GOmez,Bale,Woodgate,O Hara, Defoe and Jenas. The restshould beavailable for other teams.......

Possible recruitssad

Ryan Taylor Newcastle United

Juninho Free Transfer

Carlos Tevez Manchester United

HULL CITY

GK: DUKE and Myhill are a perfect combination and we are well prepared with Warner as a great keeper.

RB; Samuel Ricketts has been superb and Mendy can take his place when injured.

2xCD: Turner perfect needs a stabile Zayatte. With Gardner also coming back we just have to buy one defender. Maybe a man like Bassong from Newcastle.

LB: Andy Dawson works like two men but suffers a bit in speed. we need one back up. Maybe someone like Stephen Kelly from Birmingham.

RM: Barmby has been great on this position but we need one with more speed. Maybe Halmosi becomes that man next season???

2xCM: Ashbee and Bullard should  be first choice. Boateng as the great worker will be a good reserve.

LM: Garcia needs competition  and Mendy has done so but we need one more,

2xST: Cousin is a first choice but we should have < speedy striker as well. Maybe we get Campell next season? Mark Viduka and Owen will be looking for new clubs:=p

Possible Recruits:

Bassong Newcastle

Stephen Kelly Birmingham

Fraizer Campell Man U

Erik Nevland Fulham big fan of him.....would be cheapsmile
