24 Nov.2009: Liverpool crash out of the Champions League while Barcelona breat fresh air 

 Liverpool won their game against Debrecen, but with Fiorentina beating Lyon they have no chance of claiming the second place in the group. The scenerio could have changed after several great saves from Fiorentina Keeper Sebastian Frey. This means that Fiorentina and Lyon have reached the next round. 

Fc Barcelona were in needs of three points against Inter, since their terrible form against Rubin Kazan. They won 2-0 with goals from Pique and Pedro, and the three points sent them to the top. If they had lost the game,  they would have been eliminated.

 Thierry Henry almost took the step to retire from International duty after all the critsism towards him after the handball goal against Ireland, which led to WC for France and dissapointment for Ireland.

Jermain Defoe scored 5 goals in an impressive game for Tottenham Hotspurs. Nika Krankjar, Aaron Lennon, Peter Crouch and an own goal by Kris Kirkland made the impressive result of 9-1 with Paul Scharner scoring an equaliser.

Thierry Henry is a regretable sinner after his handball became the deceisive moment in the game between Ireland and France.  

He had told several newspapers that he would have liked the game to be played again  after seing how much this situation meant for a lot of people. He also says that he did what came to his mind i that situation but that it was wrong, but the referee should have seen it.
